The staff are sad to announce the closure of the shop. This had been due to bad management by the owner who did not understand the book trade. He did not know the value of this lovely little shop.
Zebra is the debut collection from Hebden Bridge-based Ian Humphreys. These acutely-observed and joyful poems explore mixed identities, otherness, and coming-of-age as a gay man in 1980s Manchester. Humphreys is a fellow of The Complete Works programme (which aims to promote diversity and quality in British poetry) and was highly commended for his work at this years Forward Prizes.
